After graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1993, Chris began his career with a small, two-office public accounting firm based in Northeast Ohio. Over the next 17 years, the firm grew to one of the largest firms in Ohio, and Chris’ practice grew to include specialties in bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and tax return preparation for a multitude of businesses and individual clients. These included business in industries such as employment leasing and PEO’s, warehousing and distributorships, restaurants, retail stores, professional service companies (including physicians offices and legal firms), and manufacturing entities.

In 2010, Christopher transitioned out of the public accounting arena and joined a Cleveland-based law firm as their CFO. However, he continued to utilize his tax preparation, tax planning, and tax representation skills and knowledge as a professional within the firm. Chris served a multitude of clients, both internally and externally for the firm, including tax preparation and planning for high-net-worth individuals and trusts, multi-tenant commercial real estate partnerships, and complicated tax matters for wealthy individuals.

In late 2020, Christopher and his wife, Julie, decided to move to the sunnier and warmer weather of Wilmington, NC. In doing so, Chris also decided to fulfill a long-term vision of owing and operating his own public accounting practice. Many of Chris’ Ohio clients have made the transition with him, which has provided a strong testimonial to the skill and professionalism shown over the years.

As a CPA, Chris is authorized to represent tax clients before the Internal Revenue Service and various state taxing authorities to assist in various tax issues. When not running a CPA firm and providing exceptional services to his clients, Chris enjoys reading books covering a multitude of genres (including historical fiction, science fiction and fantasy, and globe-trotting thrillers), playing boardgames, and rooting for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team.
